About

Hello there, I’m Alisha, and I am so excited that you stopped by my little corner of bloggersville.

Alisha In Progress is a space designated for letting you (my readers) get an inside look of my life, who God has made me to be, and what goes on inside my head.
Fun Facts:
I 'm 22, and am enjoying my life as a young adult spreading her wings.  I love the season of life God has me in, and wouldn't change any of it for the world.  My family and I live on a small five acre "farm".  We love to do things as a family, and grow closer day by day.
I'm the type of gal who loves adventure...and who loves to travel.  Some of my friends have called me a "travel-bug".  The most beautiful place I have ever been is Africa.  My soul finds its peace when I'm at the gym, or when I'm with my sister and friends in Kentucky.  I’m outgoing, extremely social, I put the pro in procrastination, and I am totally addicted to coffee.  I have most likely eaten more raw cookie dough in my life than one should ever admit - especially at my age [so, I won’t].  Some of my favorite things include: going to the gym, road trips (no doubt), music, friends, and much more.  I became a child of God in 2002, but surrendered my heart to Him completely in November 2016…and it was the best decision I ever made.  I’m an older sister to one of the most amazing young women I know, and I don't know where I'd be without her.  Speaking of my sister, let's focus on her for a little bit.

My sister is known by Rhey here on the blog, and she is many things, but a few include artist-musician-comedian-nurturer.  What's that?  You'd like to see a picture?  Sure thing, your wish is my command!

Why I blog:
Since moving to Virginia in summer of 2011 I decided to start a blog.  Alisha In Progress was born in 2012 as a way to share what goes on in our family, my life, what God has been teaching me…and to improve my writing.  And what an incredible journey it has been!  Blogging has been such an unexpected gift in how it has rejuvenated me and also in how it has introduced me to a whole community of women who inspire and encourage me on a daily basis.  So, thank you m'dear reader, for coming along for the ride.  You make this work worthwhile.  I hope you enjoy your visit, and stay awhile.
