Forever & Always

Forever & always.
This phrase now means so much to me than ever before.  It's not just a phrase that I hear being used, but is now full of meaning and brings a big smile to my face at the most random times of any given day.

August 23, 2017 the most incredible and nerve wracking event happened.
I met an amazing handsome man named Casey.  The only conversation we carried was when we discussed orders I took, and when he gave me a crash course in how to make a steak sub (per my request - more on that later lol).
I knew from the very beginning my life had changed for the better since I met him.  But I was too nervous to actually talk to the guy standing in front of me.
Before I left that night, my boss asked me to put my phone number on the list, so if in an emergency at work, I could be reached.  I gladly did so ... and went on my way.  All the way home, I kicked myself for not talking to Casey.  I was so worried that he thought I was stuck up and snobbish.

When I got home that night, I had received a message from an unknown number that read:

"Hello Ali, this is Casey.  I stole your number from the list on the wall, hope you don't mind!"

I couldn't believe it ... the guy I instantly liked actually text me!  WWIII broke out inside my mind with what I should do next:
"Omg ... Casey actually text me, and he called me Ali!  I can't believe it!  What do I do???  Do I text him back?  Nooo he'll just know I like him!  I'll wait to text him!  No, he may think I'm snobbish ..."
I responded with a text that told him that I didn't mind him stealing my number, and left it at that.  It wasn't until a couple days later that I gained enough courage to text him and actually begin a conversation.

September 19, 2017 was the day we decided on to go on a hike together.  We had a great time enjoying each other's company.  The view from the top of the place we went hiking was absolutely beautiful.  Casey and I sat up there for a while, just talking about our likes, dislikes, interests and hobbies, and just becoming better friends.

Our relationship is very unique, and full of adventure - which makes it so fantastic!

Okay, enough rambling ... here are some pictures ;)

10/10/17 - pumpkin carving
11/23/17 - our first Thanksgiving together

I absolutely love holding his hand - and I'm so thankful he lets me hold it whenever ❤️😍

The cute smile you get to capture when you try to get your man to smile for the camera.

So blessed to call this handsome man mine! ❤️😍

My heart managed to be captured by a fellow coffee drinker.

We both love amusement parks 😉😁

The beautiful necklace he got me for Christmas (I wear it all the time) 💕😍😊

There ya have it ... my favorite part of 2017.

If you would have told me exactly one year ago today, that I would be in a relationship, I would have probably called you crazy.
I am so thankful to have someone to love, and who loves me for me.  I cannot wait to see what 2018 has in store for me and my man.
